Sue and Wanda are a teaching team ready to help you and/or your organization to learn new quilt techniques.

We are experienced teachers, who can instruct a variety of quilting techniques including the Square in a Square® method (see below).

We offer:

Guild Presentations - a Square in a Square® trunk show and demonstration

Workshops for your guild or shop - half-day or full-day

Block of the Month Programme

House Parties - gather a group of your friends and have a SeW Squared Day, an evening workshop or a monthly Block of the Month activity.

The Square in a Square® method was developed by Jodi Barrows. As she describes, the rotary cutting and strip piecing technique allows the average quilter to achieve perfect points with astonishing simplicity, accuracy and speed. If you love the look of intricate patterns but not the work of templates and hand piecing this method is for you.

The SeW Squared team hosts Autumn and Spring Quilting Retreats. Please see the retreat page for information about the upcoming

MYSTERY QUILT RETREAT

at Fern Resort, Orillia, Ontario.

Wanda

Hi, I'm Wanda.

I was born too many years ago in London, England. Spent most of my life in Toronto, Canada and currently am a retired teacher residing in Orillia.

I have been quilting since the 80's and currently fill my days curling, golfing and of course, teaching quilting at our local quilt shop' thimbles & things'. Any time in between is spent in my basement studio designing and writing quilt patterns.

I started sewing at the age of 14 years and discovered the wonderful world of quilting in the 90’s. I spend my time quilting, gardening and teaching quilting at ‘thimbles and things’.
